Where It All Began
What the treatment room taught her about care
Timekah has practised as a Registered Massage Therapist since 2008. In the treatment room, she listened as clients talked about what they were carrying at work and at home, often while living with tension, fatigue, or a quiet sense of overwhelm.
Over time, she noticed how much effort people were putting into keeping up with their responsibilities and how little room that left for their own well-being. By the time they made space for care, many were already stretched thin.
That observation shaped a question that still guides her work today. What would it look like to make room for care before life asks us to slow down?
As a wife, mother of three, and business owner, Timekah recognized some of what her clients described in her own life. When work and family needed her attention, it was easy to put off what she needed and tell herself she’d get to it later. That experience made the question of how to make room for care feel personal, too.
How the Work Evolved
Bringing self-care into everyday decisions
Massage therapy remains central to Timekah’s work. It’s where she first saw how much people could learn by paying attention to what they were feeling in their bodies.
Her coaching grew from that experience. In coaching, she helps people explore what they notice in daily life and what they can do with that information. That might mean asking for support sooner, making room for rest during a demanding week, or considering their own needs before taking on another commitment.
The SeC-C Approach
Making room for care before you’re stretched thin
Timekah developed the SeC-C Approach, short for Self-Care Centered Approach, to help people give their well-being a place in the decisions they make every day.
Through the SeC-C Approach, Timekah helps clients:
● Notice early cues, such as tension, fatigue, or a recurring sense of overwhelm.
● Get curious about what those cues might be telling them.
● Choose a response that fits their needs and what’s possible right now.
You might notice your shoulders tense up as you look at the week ahead. Taking a moment to ask what feels most demanding could help you see where to ask for help, what can wait, or where you need more breathing room. Over time, paying attention earlier can give you more say in how you spend your time and energy.
